Welcome to Indian Springs Golf Club

Come celebrate 1964 with us — Saturday, June 29th!

In the early 1960’s, Alan Parmelee had a vision: Transform a rugged 72 acre farm into a destination for sport and community. He sketched a 9-hole layout on a piece of paper and dreamed of a golf course. Pushing this dream toward reality, he borrowed money from family, friends, and friends of friends. The golf course architect, Al Zikorus, tweaked his design, but kept the basic idea of it. On the day that construction was finally to start, when the earth-moving equipment was scheduled to arrive and an unthinkable amount of borrowed money was about to be spent, he rose from his bed with blisters on the palms of his hands. He was that nervous. But with one step after another, tackling each project as it arose, he brought “Indian Spring Golf Course” to life, with the first tee-shot going off on June 27th, 1964.  Over the last 60 years, this lush and manicured course has been host to thousands of unforgettable moments, countless friendships created, and innumerable good times. As we celebrate Alan’s achievement, we invite you to tee-it-up and usher in the next 60 years of golf and community at The Springs.

The celebration and shindig  on June 29th starts with a swingin’ four-person scramble, and of course brews and cocktails. We cap off the evening with outta sight food and far out cocktails from the 1960s. Remember we are going all the way back to 1964 so be hip, let your freak flag fly, and get decked out in your 60’s threads, man. There will be a prize for the grooviest, most happenin’  foursome in the coolest duds. Can you dig it?

Tee times start at 2pm, dinner starts at 5pm. Prizes to follow. Purchase tickets online in our ‘Store’ page, call our pro shop 860 349-8109, or stop in!

Serving the golf community of central Connecticut for 60 years

Boasting the very best greens in Connecticut, Indian Springs Golf Course is a scenic, challenging, 9-hole, par 36 public golf course in the center of the state. Designed by Al Zikorus and opened by Alan Parmelee, it has served the golfing community of Connecticut since 1964. The Parmelee family continues to operate the course with meticulous care. This attention to detail elevates the course’s conditions well beyond a typical nine hole track and into the realm of private clubs, with hills, water, views, impeccable fairways, and large, immaculate greens. Indian Springs features a renovated clubhouse, cafe, bar, and patio, as well as a driving range, short-game practice area, and putting green.  With a welcoming, friendly atmosphere, these nine holes of heaven will keep you coming back.
